we ask cheaper than dirt why they are ripping people off

We refuse to support greasy companies that are willing to sacrifice their integrity just to make a buck. These companies must be Dumber than Dirt to think we will continue to support them. They do not support the rights of the people, they only aim to profit from tragedy and they need to be called out. The best way to kill these wolves is to starve them. Do not buy anything from any company that is price gouging. They are offering no help to you, so do not offer help to them by purchasing their product.

We wanted to know why Cheaper than Dirt is charging so much for their for ammo and magazines, so we asked them. We also wanted to know about a recent article they published asking us to support the Toomey-Manchin measure. The only way to retain our rights is to protect them, so why would they publish a pro-gun control article titled I Support Toomey-Manchin and You Should Too? Here is our correspondence below, read it and draw you own conclusion.

We noticed that your company voiced its support for the Toomey-Manchin measure Amendment 715 to Senate Bill 649. Not only that, you are currently punishing people for wanting to own and practice with firearms. 60 bucks for a box of Tula 9mm? Capitalizing on tragedy. Shame on you!

We are informing our readers about your practices and and will no longer purchase anything from your company. We are encouraging our readers (a half a million per month) to do the same.

It is tough to save a sinking ship once the water starts to rush in. I hope your bailing buckets are large enough.

Last Tuesday on the Cheaper Than Dirt! company blog "The Shooter's Log", we posted an article after interviewing Allen Gottlieb of the Second Amendment Foundation. Why does cheaper than dirt continue to gouge the customers whom have made your company do successful? 69 bucks for 9mm, 100 bucks for pmags? The list goes on and on. If Cheaper than dirt truly supported Americans 2nd Amendment rights, they would be doing what Magpul did. Everything they can to get firearms and ammo into the hands of the people.

Capitalizing and charging 6x the normal price is far from "fully supporting the Second Amendment". It is punishing for exercising it. Your are not paying more for the ammo. You pay the same price for ammo as everyone else, us included. Cabelas, Midway, BassPro and Wal-mart are all selling ammo for normal prices. You are not.

And by the way, if Alan Gottlied asked us to publish an article on our website that had the title. "I Support Toomey-Manchin and you should to" we would have told him to go kick rocks. The SAF is Similar to the NRA in that they continue to fight battles they know they can not win so they can continue to collect donations. It is quite a lucrative business. Almost as lucrative as charging 60 bucks for a $3.75 box of ammo.

That is because they are selling theirs. You do not need to compare to other websites, you could simply look at what you were charging 1 year ago. A box of Tula 9mm retails for about 10 bucks a box. I picked up 2 - 100 rounds boxes of Winchester 9mm from my local Walmart this morning for 24 bucks per box. Is your ammo made from Gold? Surely you couldn't be capitalizing on tragedy and talks of gun control?

Oddly enough, no further response was recieved from Cheaper Than Dirt. Perhaps we offended them? Honestly, I hope we did. Due to their lack of integrity, and pathetic greed, Cheaper Than Dirt is now on our permanent blacklist.

So why did they post the article if they are pro Second Amendment? Why all the disclaimers before and after the article? My theory is simple. Use clever marketing to fuel purchasing panic and demand for their product, allowing them to justify ripping you off. In otherwords, it was great for business.
